Karachov Kazak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, third quarter 19th century, the center ivory latch-hooked octagon flanked by four cream-colored pendanted squares each inset with a latch-hook diamond, and two light blue rectangles with a red multiple latch-hooked polygon, four larger ivory squares inset with eight-pointed stars and latch-hooked arms, on an abrashed blue-green and apple green field, red serrated leaf, "wineglass" and multiple latch-hooked bar patterned main border, multiple reciprocal sawtooth minor borders, 8 ft. x 4 ft. 1 in.
