Two Kashmir Shawls, North India, mid to third quarter 19th century, one long shawl with an empty black diamond at the center with an ivory forked border, and emerging from each corner a large polychrome floral bent-tip boteh, smaller boteh, intertwining vines, and flowers drawn throughout, meandering vine and blossom side borders, polychrome lappets with teardrop-shaped blossoms, 9 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 4 in., and a Rumal shoulder mantle with a black eight-lobed center medallion with medium blue and ivory highlights on an allover foliate design field, split palmette main border, interlacing vine and palmette minor border with small inscription, multicolored empty lappets on each side, 6 ft. 2 in. x 6 ft. 2 in.
