Baktiari and Bidjar Carpet Fragments, Central and Northwest Persia, mid to late 19th century, the Baktiari with an allover large-scale polychrome floral design including a cypress tree enclosed by blossoming branches and two perched birds, curling vines, and flowerheads all upon a navy field, 5 ft. 6 in. x 8 ft. 4 in., the Bidjar with an allover large-scale "herati" design upon a navy field within an ivory iris, rosette, and angular vine main border, multiple rosette and vine meander minor borders, 8 ft. x 7 ft. 2 in.
