Tekke Ak-Chuval, West Turkestan, second half 19th century, comprised of flat-woven sections and pile, the alternating ivory and wine-colored bands with a stepped concentric diamond design in shades of red, ivory, and navy, the wide ivory elem decorated with similarly colored "ashik" medallions, (silk highlights), 3 ft. 9 in. x 2 ft. 7 in.
