German Historismus Silver-gilt and Enamel Cup and Cover, probably Hanau, late 19th/early 20th century, bearing pseudo hallmarks to footrim, in the Baroque style, the cover with a finial cast as a boy with a shield engraved "1569," on a tall stem with two enameled knops, the body of the cup and cover similarly decorated with bas-taille enamel panels, repousse scenes of putti, and various registers of scrolling foliage, the vasiform cup raised on stem modeled Bacchus figure with a cup in one hand and grapes in another, ht. 37 in., approx. 128.4 troy oz.
