Gorham Sterling Silver Larchmont Yacht Club Trophy Coffeepot, Providence, Rhode Island, 1888, the slender, baluster-form with an inset cover, leaf-decorated handle, spout modeled as a horse head, and the body with leaftips and central presentation engraving: "LYC/Fall Regatta/Sept. 6. 1890/Class IV/won by/CLARA," ht. 10 3/8 in., approx. 21.6 troy oz. N.B. Two yachts named Clara existed at this time, one designed by William Fife Jr., the other designed and owned by Herreshoff from 1887-1904.
