Carved Bone and Watercolor Slide-lid Prisoner-of-war-made Game Box, early 19th century, the peaked slide-lid top inset with four watercolor on paper depictions of a fashionably dressed young men and women under glass, the top and sides ornamented with pierced and carved designs heightened with black pigment, with cribbage board, the sides further inset with watercolor depictions of buildings and baskets of flowers, the interior containing bone dominoes, (imperfections and losses), ht. 2 3/4, lg. 7 1/2, wd. 3 1/4 in.
