American folk art carved and polychromed wood sculpture in the form of a fish. Fish depicted with mouth open and with short and stout body with curved tail fin. Remnants of painted exterior. Animal figure with flattened back with drilled hole at back and slit at bottom, possibly pertaining to its original mount, perhaps part of an advertisment or architectural detail. Unsigned. Raised on a metal shaft connected to rectangular black base. Overall height 11", width 9", depth 12".
