Quarto, illustrated with five folding engravings, perforated library stamp in lower margin of title and text leaf M2, not affecting text; bound in contemporary marbled paper boards, rebacked in brown calf, 9 1/4 x 7 in. Hawksmoor was an architect, he envisioned a nine-arch stone bridge over the Thames at Westminster, a design achievable by adapting the existing structure.
