Two Uniforms of Naval Officer Captain Victor Jackson, 1920s, a double-breasted wool coat with gold-tone eagle buttons, officer's ribbon to left breast, and four embroidered metallic gold stripes to sleeves, with matching black wool trousers with metallic gold embroidered tuxedo stripe, a very similar cropped double-breasted jacket with striped sleeves and gold-tone eagle buttons, an officer's hat with bullion embroidery, and two bicorn hats with extensive gold ribboning and embroidery. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College.
