Allen Russell Saalburg (American 1899-1987), oil on canvas laid on aluminum mural for the Pennsylvania railroad depicting a head-on view of steam locomotive #134 the Tiger , flanked by a variant of the Illinois State seal and a variant of the New York State seal, with a banner below inscribed PRR Fast Passenger Locomotive - Tiger PRR , signed lower right, 40" x 61". These panels were commissioned by industrial designer Raymond Loewy in 1938 and hung inside Loewy's elegant train cars.
