Bolognese School, 17th Century Fragmentary Drawing of a Male Nude with Right Arm Raised Unsigned, dry stamped "JULIAN MARKOWSKI" and with three collectors' stamps along the bottom edge. Sanguine on paper, sheet 22 x 15 1/4 in. (56.0 x 38.8 cm), framed. Condition: Irregular size sheet, with left side corners intact but with the right edge and upper corner trimmed to a curve conforming to the side of the figure, creasing, foxing, staining, cockling, sheet laid down to mat board support. N.B. Collectors' marks along bottom edge, including T.W. within a rectangle for Teodor de Wyzewa, dry stamped "JULIAN MARKOWSKI," an unidentified stamp of the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the initials "KW," and a stamped monogram within a circle including the first letter S, possibly for Städel Museum, Städelsches Kunstinstitut und Städtische Galerie, Frankfort, Germany.
