Federal Carved Mahogany Writing Desk, possibly Thomas Seymour, Boston, Massachusetts, 1810-15, the rectangular top with rounded corners, beaded edge, and a section lifting to a compartmented interior, on a conforming apron with beaded panels and a single cockbeaded drawer, all on vase- and ring-turned, reeded, tapering legs on casters, old finish, brass pulls appear original, ht. 28 3/4, wd. 24, dp. 17 1/2 in.
