Sampson and Commodore Winfield Scott Sehley, in a molded and varnished frame with identifying label, ht. 30 1/2, wd. 44 3/4 in. Note: The Battle of Santiago de Cuba was fought July 3rd, 1898, and was a key naval battle in the Spanish-American War. It resulted in the destruction of the Spanish Naval presence in the Caribbean at the hands of the American Navy.
