Needlework Sampler "Rachel Peirson," New England, early 19th century, worked in silk threads on a linen ground, the meandering vine border surrounds pictorial designs including a house with peacocks atop it, four figures, baskets of fruit, and row of trees near the lower edge above the maker's name and six sets of initials, probably of Rachel's family, (toned), 16 1/4 x 12 in. , in a bird's-eye maple frame.
