Miniature Paint-decorated Pine Blanket Chest, probably Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, c. 1825, the lift-lid with applied rounded edge, above the dovetail-constructed box, slightly projecting base, and turned feet, old surface, ht. 8, wd. 12 1/2, dp. 6 1/4 in. Note: A pencil inscription on the underside of the lid reads "Emma W. Hess (?) flower seed box/Ephrata/Lanc. Co./Pa."
