Pair of Wucai Covered Jars, China, Transitional Period, of baluster form, decorated with the "Hundred Boys" motif, depicting boys playing with a qilin and engaging in various other activities and attended by ladies, with a "cracked ice" border at the shoulders, and a peony and rockwork border at the neck, the cover decorated with three boys dancing and a lotus-bud finial, ht. 16 in.
