Rufino Tamayo (Mexican, 1899-1991) Hombre 1 , 1981, proof edition outside of the edition of 250 (see Pereda, 293-295). Signed "R. Tamayo" in pencil within the image l.r., numbered "HC 19/25" in pencil within the image l.l., identified on a label from Galeria del Circulo, Mexico City, affixed to the backing. Color mixograph on paper, image/sheet size 9 1/2 x 6 3/4 in. (24.0 x 17.0 cm), framed. Condition: Deckled edges, possible fading, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame. N.B. Pereda mentions that a fourth inking of this image exists but does not describe the coloration.
