Lakota Beaded Hide Pictographic Coat, c. 1890, with European cut and fringed at the edge and seams, cotton-lined collar and yellow pigment overall, beaded on front, back, and sleeves with multicolored equestrian figures, both riding and leading their horses, several warriors wearing war bonnets, breastplates, and carrying society staffs, with three stylized birds below the shoulders and collar, (minor stiffness to hide), lg. 41 in.
