Chinese, Late 19th century, possibly earlier. Group of eight blanc de chine porcelain figural sculptures of the Eight Immortals comprising of Lan Caihe depicted standing and holding in a bamboo flower basket (height 9.4"); the philosopher Han Xiang seated and playing a flute (height 7.9"); the Immortal Woman He or He Xiangu holding lotus flower over shoulder (height 8.9"); Iron-Crutch Li seated holding iron crutch and with scraggy beard and facial hair (height 7.4"); the scholar Lü Dongbin with sword on back (height 9.6"); Zhang Kuo holding fish drum in hand and seated backwards on a white mule (height 8.4"); Zhongli Quan with bare bellow and holding fan (height 8.9"); and Royal Uncle Cao or Cao Guojiu holding a jade tablet (height 9.4"). Each with two embossed marks on back.
