Five Pennsylvania Stoneware Vessels, Greensboro, New Geneva, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, mid-19th century, four semi-ovoid jugs with tooled straight mouths, applied handles, and cobalt blue stencil-marked inscription: one marked "HAMILTON & JONES/GREENSBORO, PA. ," with stenciled floral device inside inscription, one marked "JAS HAMILTON/& CO/GREENSBORO, PA.," one with double cobalt blue banding above and below stenciled inscription "[L.B.] DILLINER,/NEW/GENEVA/PA.," and one marked "J.L. AB[--]L. & CO./WHOLESALE/LIQUOR DEALERS/146 WATER ST. AND/190 FIRST AVE./PITTSBURGH. PA."; and an undecorated straight-sided jar with incised rounded shoulder and plain mouth with lid ledge within, (imperfections), ht. 11 3/4, 11 3/4, 11 1/2, 9 3/8, 10 1/4 in., respectively.
