Federal Inlaid Mahogany Secretary/Bookcase, possibly Massachusetts, late 18th century, the upper section with a reeded and molded cornice and two hinged, paneled doors revealing a three-shelf interior, the lower string-inlaid and cockbeaded case with slant-lid opening to six drawers and nine valanced compartments flanking a central drawer with inlaid shell medallion, all over four graduated drawers with octagonal eagle brasses and shaped bracket feet, refinished, ht. 73 1/2, case wd. 39, dp. 19 in.
