Kurd Rug, Northwest Persia, third quarter 19th century, three-and-a-half octagonal medallions inset with latch-hooked diamonds or a large blossoming rosette flanked by highly stylized blossoming tall shrubs, rosettes, and partial concentric stepped diamonds on a brown field, all within an ivory double "dragon's tooth" main border, multiple reciprocal trefoil-patterned minor borders, 5 ft. 10 in. x 3 ft. 4 in.
