Chinese Oval Rug, c. 1910, the light camel-colored field with a single peacock at each end enclosing vases, coins, flaming wheels, blossoms, and knots of destiny in shades of blue and beige, all within a royal blue main border of alternating shrubbery and rounded lozenges inset with pagodas in a mountainous landscape, the minor border comprised of bats and "shou" medallions, 7 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 10 in.
