Saryk Tent Band Fragment, West Turkestan, first half 19th century, the field comprised of four-and-a-half rectangular compartments inset with a red-brown, highly stylized, asymmetrical tree, bracketed devices with starbursts and ram's horns, all within a stepped diamond border, ivory cotton highlights throughout, 3 ft. x 10 in.
