Fereghan Sarouk Rug, West Persia, c. 1900, the delicately drawn blossoming tree bisecting the field and emerging from a mound enclosed by stylized cypress trees and two confronting bird heads emerging from vines, within a cream-colored mihrab, the light red spandrels with blue-green angular vines, all within a midnight blue rosette and contiguous forked vine main border, multiple carnation and vine minor borders, 5 ft. 6 in. x 4 ft. 2 in.
