Chinese, 20th century, possibly earlier. Pair of matching porcelain rose medallion decorated vases later converted into electrified lamps. Each with cylindrical body with flared rim. Exterior of body with courtly figural scenes framed by gilt meandering spirals with still life, figures, prunus, flowers and butterflies on white ground surrounding medallions. Vases raised on gilt metal bases with chamfered edges. Height (to top of ovoid finial) 29.2". Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
