Jon J. Moscartolo (American, 1939-2011) Mother and Child, 1968. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 59 x 61 1/2 in., unframed. Condition: Scattered minor scuff marks. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire. N.B. Jon Moscartolo earned an MFA in Painting from Temple University Tyler School of Art, an MA in Art Education from Rhode Island School of Design and an AB in Fine Arts from Dartmouth College (Class of 1963). He was the artist-in-residence for the Boston Symphony Orchestra Days in The Arts program at Tanglewood.
