Pat'd Jan 9 1883 , with outer scale divided 0-180, inner equatorial time ring divided 1-12 for day and night, brass meridian ring and minute dial, attached to a binnacle mounted black-painted steel housing, enclosing the skeletonized double spring movement reading L.
