Eleven Manchu Lady's Accessories, China, 19th/20th century, two multiple-lobed collars, one embroidered with blue flowers on an orange ground, the other embroidered with flowers, butterflies, and other auspicious motifs, with eight embroidered fan cases and an embroidered hanging ornament, largest collar wd. 22 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased in Beijing at the turn of the century when the current owner's grandmother was stationed at the Princeton University Alumni organized Y.M.C.A outpost, as reported in The Princeton Alumni Weekly , Vol. XIV, No. 18, February 11, 1914.
