Framed 1792 Town of Dorchester, Massachusetts, Highway Plan, and Six Small Articles, the handwritten document labeled "Vote of the Town the handwritten document labeled "Vote of the Town of Dorchester '92" on one side, is likely the notes for a notice or announcement declaring the town voted, "that William Sumner be authorized to lay out a Road or highway through Trotts Pasture so-called of such width and in such situation as the selectmen shall direct: to build and keep in repair a good Bridge acrofs Neponsit river, to erect a necefsary Lawfull fence upon the highway leading to the same... in such a way and manner that the Town of Dorchester shall never here after incurr any Expence for the making or repairing ther of."; together with a brass-mounted painted paper clock dial, a small inlaid wood box containing two small slide-lid boxes containing miniature bone dice, a six-sided bone die, and a carved wood link chain.
