David Nash (American, b. 1945) Untitled [Spheres Turn, Pyramids Rise, Cubes Stay Still] , 2000 Dated, inscribed, and signed "May 2000...Chicago...David Nash" on the reverse. Chainsawed and charred wood, 7 7/8 x 10 5/8 x 4 3/4 in. (20.0 x 27.0 x 12.1 cm). Condition: Minor surface dust. Provenance: Gift from the artist to the present owner, a former director of the Chicago Public Art Program, to commemorate the installation of the monumental sculpture Spheres Turn. Pyramids Rise. Cubes Stay Still. Three forms for Chicago at the Museum Campus in 2000.
