John Joseph Enneking (American, 1841-1916) Trout Brook, North Newry, Maine Signed "Enneking" l. r., identified on an exhibition label from Poland Spring Gallery, Maine State Building (see below). Oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in. (61.0 x 76.5 cm), in a Foster Brothers frame signed with a brass medallion. Condition: Minor canvas rippling at corners, mild surface grime. Exhibitions: Eighteenth Annual Exhibition, Poland Spring Gallery, Maine State Building, South Poland, Maine, c. 1912.
