Huc-Mazelet Luquiens (American, 1881-1961) Yale, Vanderbilt Gateway , 1914, edition of 160, including ten hors commerce. Titled, dated, and initialed "...1914 HML" within the matrix l.l. Etching on paper, 7 3/4 x 5 7/8 in., framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. N.B. According to an ad published in The Yale Literary Magazine , Volume 81, Issue 7, Yale University Press commissioned Luquiens to create a portfolio of eight etchings depicting Yale campus landmarks, which were sold through YUP and the Brick Row Print and Book Shop near campus. The portfolio was published in an edition of 160, with ten hors commerce.
