Framed Portrait Miniature of a Gentleman and a Watercolor and Cutwork Valentine, the valentine by William Kohler, February 1879, the circular form consisting of eight sections, each with angels, flowers, and hearts outlined with pinpricks and watercolor decoration, surrounded by cutout stars and geometric shapes surrounding hearts with inscribed lines from a verse and the maker's name inscribed within, each section with applied chromolithographed sentiments, all bordered by red and blue striping, (imperfections), dia. 14, in a molded frame with gilt liner, (imperfections), ht. 5 1/4, wd. 4 1/2 in.
