Two Sevres Soft Paste Porcelain Teacups and Saucers, France, 1757, painted en camaïeu rose with figures before rustic buildings within landscape vignettes and with birds, with gilt dentil rims, the cups with twisted handles, each piece with blue interlaced "L" mark enclosing lower case date letter "e," with unidentified painter's mark of a house, cup ht. 2, saucer dia. 4 3/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Rosenberg & Stiebel in 1956 as ex collection of Baron C.G. von Seidlitz. The original receipt and a note in German accompany the lot. N.B. The painter's mark of a house was previously attributed to Jean-Jacques Antheaume.
