James Abbott McNeill Whistler (American, 1834-1903) The Thames , 1896, final state of three (Chicago, 161). Butterfly monogram within the matrix. Lithograph on chine collé, image size 10 1/2 x 7 3/4 in. (26.5 x 19.5 cm), framed. Condition: Gently toned, supporting sheet laid down, with mat burn, and with glue residue and pencil annotations to margins. N.B. This is one of the final lithotints created by Whistler.
