Frederick Hart (American, 1943-1999) Cross of the Millennium , 1995, first version with clear base, total edition of 2,250. Dated, initialed, and numbered "© 1995 FH 889/2000 ED" on base. Clear Lucite, height 12 1/4 in. (31.0 cm), presented in the original box (wear to surface) and with illuminated base. Condition: Lucite base detached. Provenance: Purchased from Hanson Art Galleries, San Francisco, California, in July 1995. N.B. A copy of an invoice from Hanson Art Galleries and a copy of an appraisal from Barry Heisler Fine Arts, San Mateo, California, dated July 2005, accompany the lot.
