Francesco Somaini (Italian, b. 1926) Horizontal III Signed "Somaini" and stamped "5956" in the bronze at the bottom edge, dated "1958" on the sales receipt that accompanies this lot. Bronze with varied patinas, approximately 9 1/2 x 18 x 8 in. (23.5 x 45.7 x 20.3 cm), on a pivoting metal base. Condition: Surface imperfections and wear that are part of the aesthetic, surface dust and dirt. Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection. N.B. A sales receipt dated March 2, 1966, from the Obelisk Gallery accompanies this lot.
