Wood Carving of a Bodhisattva and a Wood Tray, China, 19th/20th century, the bodhisattva, possibly Samantabhadra, seated on a caparisoned elephant, her right leg down on a double lotus-shaped footrest and her left folded to her, ht. 9 1/4, wd. 7 1/4; and the tray, oval with a raised band rim, depicting on the top a landscape with figures and the rim with lozenges, all inlaid in mother-of-pearl, incised details on inlays, coiled wires for hanging on reverse, 15 1/8 x 24 in.
