Cheyenne Woman's Hide and Wood Saddle, c. third quarter 19th century, the wood tree covered in rawhide and with commercial leather seat, the pommel and cantle decorated with brass tacks, red pigment, and yellow fringe, (some splits to rawhide), lg. 21, ht. 13 in. Provenance: Loaned to The Stamford Museum in Connecticut in 1947; Charles L. Woundy collection.
