Large Gorham Sterling Silver Plaque "Record of the Sachem," c. 1890, the elaborately chased copper and gilded frame with ribbons, flowers, and vines encompassing a silver plaque with engraved image of the schooner Sachem and engraved record of her achievements in 1886, 1887, and 1888, lg. 29, ht. 21 in. Note: The Sachem was designed by Edward Burgess and built at the George Lawley & Sons shipyard, Boston, in 1886.
