White Porcelain Dish, Korea, early 19th century, shallow dish-shape resting on a short straight foot, sixteen-character inscription in Korean near foot, translates to "[one of the] thirty-six vessels of small, medium, and large to be housed in Sunhwagung Palace for use in the wedding [of Queen Gyeongbin to King Heonjong] in Jeongmi year [1847]," the white glaze with slight hint of blue, bisque foot ring with sand, ht. 2, dia. 8 1/8 in.
