Six Export Blue and White Plates, China, 18th/19th century, lobed octagonal, two decorated with a landscape in the well below a band of flower and butterfly around the rim; two with a woman and a boy in a garden scene below a floral band around the rim; and two with a boy with a floral vase encircled with a band of scholarly objects and auspicious symbols below a double coin band around the brown-glazed rim, dia. to 9 in. Provenance: The descendants of Dudley L. Pickman (1779-1846), and Charles G. Loring (1828-1902) of Massachusetts.
