Two Blue and White Bowls, China, one, possibly Qianlong period, upturned bell-shape with slightly flared rim, resting on a raised foot, decorated with two dragons between a band of waves around foot and a double ring around rim, "Zhiyuantang zhi" mark in a square cartouche on base; and one, possibly 18th century, upturned bell-shape with angled rim, resting on a raised foot, decorated with three bands of meander, archaic chilong scroll, and lotus lappet against a cream-glazed body with allover crackling, six-character Chenghua mark in a double ring on base, ht. to 2 3/8, dia. to 5 5/8 in. Provenance: The descendants of Dudley L. Pickman (1779-1846), and Charles G. Loring (1828-1902) of Massachusetts.
