Famille Rose Porcelain and Bisque Figure of a Reclining Putai, China, late 19th/early 20th century, depicted reclining on a sack, holding a fan in one hand, with a painted bisque face, torso, hands, and feet, his robes and sack decorated with polychrome enamels, ht. 5 1/2; and a silk wall hanging revamped into a shoulder cape, embroidered with a bird-and-flower design and calligraphy, lg. 105 in. Provenance: Photographed as part of an exhibition held at the Jersey City Library in the 1930s, then to a private New England collection.
