Yellow-glazed Lidded Box, China, late 19th/early 20th century, rectangular with tapering sides, resting on four bracket feet, decorated with raised geometric designs between two patterned bands, two animal-head handles on two shorter sides, the cover, rectangular with flaring sides, decorated with raised dragon scroll design on one side and incised five-character calligraphy on the other, a rectangular box-shaped knob on the top, six-character Guangxu mark in blue in a rectangular white porcelain cartouche on base, ht. 4 3/4, wd. 8 7/8 in.
