Two Thangkas of Tsong Khapa, Tibetan China, 18th and 19th/20th century style, each depicted sitting cross-legged on an upturned lotus pedestal behind an offering table with his hands in dharmachakra mudra, against a circular halo and nimbus encircled with floral branches, distemper on cotton, backed with papers, the larger one surrounded with Buddhist deities of arhats and lamas (some with Sanskrit inscription in gold), including Manjusri above and the buffalo-headed Yama Dharmaraja in a flame below, gilt and metallic silver details, 26 3/4 x 19 1/4; and the smaller with Manjusri above and seven lama figures in three rows, gilt details, 16 3/4 x 13 7/8 in.
