Three Pewter Teapots and an Inlaid Pewter Container, China, 19th/20th century, two six-lobed floral shape with tubular neck and domed cover; and one with rectangular body and neck with flat cover, all with S-shaped spouts, footed, the handles wrapped with bamboo strips (now partially loosened, cut, or lost), decorated with bird-and-flower designs inlaid in brass, all covers with carved wood knob, ht. to 6 5/8; and an octagonal bucket-shape container with a shaped bar handle over the top, decorated with a floral design in brass and copper inlays, each side divided into two sections with a raised band, decorated with variously shaped panels of auspicious flowers, plants, animals, symbols, objects, and figures, all inlaid in brass and copper, ht. 8 in. Provenance: The pewter collection of Ruth Raymond, Beacon Hill, who began collecting in the 1940s.
