Two Arabic Calligraphy Manuscripts, North Africa or Near East, 12th to 14th century, ink, color, and gold on paper, one composed of seven lines written in bold Maghrebi script, divisions marked with gold florets and circles, the word "Allah" illuminated in gold, 10 x 7 1/2; and a five-line calligraphy written in stylized Kufic script, with red diacritic marks, 8 1/4 x 6 in.
